What happens next

  1. Send a short note

Your business name, city and what you need.

  2. Get a reply

Ali or a senior strategist answers, usually the next business day.

  3. Plan the next step

If it fits, you get a clear proposal. If not, honest advice.

Three ways to reach us

Call (604) 632-4959. Best when you want to talk through your timeline and get a sense of what's realistic. Have your target opening date and address handy.

Text (604) 632-4959. Useful when you're standing in your unit between contractor visits. Send the essentials and we'll reply with questions or a time to talk. A few words will do; we take it from there.

Email Ali@Sedighi.ca. Best for anything with attachments: a floor plan, lease summary, photos of the frontage, a draft logo or your current website address.

We don't use contact forms, booking widgets or chat. Those three channels are the whole system, and they're all on every page of this site.

What to include in your first message

The more of this you send, the more useful our first reply will be. None of it is required.

  1. Business name, exactly as it will appear on the sign.
  2. What you sell and roughly what an average sale or job is worth.
  3. Location: the unit address, or the service area if you're a mobile trade. Say whether it's on the Coquitlam or Burnaby side of North Road if you know.
  4. Target opening date, even if it's only "late spring".
  5. What exists already: website, Google Business Profile, social pages, an existing location elsewhere.
  6. Your main worry, such as "the map doesn't show our building" or "we're moving and don't want to lose reviews".

A first text can be as short as this template:

Hi, this is [Your name] from [Business name]. We're opening at [Address or area] around [Month]. We sell [what you sell]. Our biggest question is [question].

Or, for an email:

Subject: Launch in [Area]: [Business name] Business name: [Business name] City: [Coquitlam or Burnaby] Website: [URL or "none yet"] What I need help with: [e.g. profile and website before opening] Best time to reach me: [days and times]

What happens next

  1. We reply. Usually within one business day, with either a few questions or a suggested time to talk.
  2. First conversation. A free 30-minute call for eligible trades businesses, covering your date, location, numbers and what already exists. We tell you plainly if the timeline or budget won't work.
  3. Written recommendation. If it makes sense to proceed, you get a short written proposal: which services you need, which Trades.Agency plan fits, any costs beyond the plan, and the first weeks of your launch plan.

Nothing starts until you've agreed to that proposal in writing.

Before you contact us

If you'd like to prepare, three pages are worth a look. The 120-day launch countdown shows the order work happens in. The guide to new-building addresses explains the map problems common near the stations. The pricing page shows plan costs with GST worked out.

If you are comparing providers

Plenty of owners contact two or three marketing firms before opening, and that's sensible. To make the comparison fair, ask each one the same questions: Will the accounts be in my name? Can I see a dated plan before I sign? What will the weekly report show? What happens if I cancel? Send us the same list and we'll answer it in writing.

A note on what we do

Burquitlam.Business is a digital marketing and business consulting service for trades and local businesses. Because we are not a contractor, nobody from our side will install, repair or service anything in your unit, and permit or licence questions are outside what we advise on. Those questions belong with the City of Coquitlam or the City of Burnaby, depending on your address.

Frequently asked questions

Which is faster: calling, texting or emailing?

Calling during business hours reaches us most directly. Texting is handy when you're on site at a new unit. Email works best when you want to send a lease plan, photos or a long list of questions.

Is the first conversation free?

Yes, for eligible trades businesses: half an hour on the phone about your launch, free, with no obligation to buy a plan afterwards. We use it to check your timeline and whether a plan makes sense.

Do you meet in person?

Yes, in person or by video call, as well as by phone, text and email. We don't keep an office in Burquitlam. Photos or a short phone video of your unit and street frontage also help.

What if I'm not sure yet about the location?

Get in touch anyway. Comparing two or three candidate units from a marketing angle, such as visibility, entrance and how the address shows in maps, is a useful early conversation.
